Recently the starting out ceremony of Changzhou public clean energy vehicles was held in Changzhou Huanghai factory, and 380 CNG buses are handed over to Changzhou Public Transport Group, which will be formally put into use on July 1. The exhaust emission of such batch of clean energy buses meets the Guo-IV standard (equal to Euro-IV standard). These buses are deemed as the greenest, cleanest and most economical buses in Changzhou for the time being.
Such batch of clean energy buses are divided into 12-m ones and 11-m ones. They apply the fashionable design combining the technologies of Huanghai and IVECO companies which seems elegant and beautiful. These buses are equipped with high-powered gas engines domestically produced and reach the Guo-IV emission standard. Meanwhile, they are installed with three-speed electromagnetic clutch fans, realizing the thermal management of engine and saving the energy consumption to a larger extent. Chassis systems have a reasonable matching and are stable and reliable. The gas cylinders are placed at the bottom, which are safe and reliable. The gas cylinder's total capacity is 800L and the continuous mileage can reach 600km after the gas cylinder is charged fully for one time. The vehicle' interiors are light-colored, with large space and open view. The drive zone applies the form of wide enclosure and buttons on the instrument platform are arranged reasonably and operated easily and conveniently.
Totally four high light LED panels are deployed in buses' exterior and interior and can be connected with Unicom's 3G/GPS onboard systems inside of the buses, realizing the intelligentized operation and management.
Sun Luming, deputy GM of Changzhou Bus Group Corporation says the main products after natural gas is burnt almost do not contain sulfur, dust and other hazardous substances.
"After the test, the amount of hydrocarbon released by CNG bus is as much as 28% of that by bus using petrol as the fuel. Moreover, the characteristics of environmental protection are bodied in respect of CNG bus' particulate and smoke and other indexes." He stresses that exhaust released by CNG bus will meet Guo-IV standard, which is equivalent to Euro-IV standard. Currently Guo-IV standard is only applied in four cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Guangzhou.
It's reported that there are more than 600 CNG buses being used in Changzhou, but among which more than 400 buses are all transformed from buses using petrol as the fuel. After this batch of new buses is delivered, they can replace the transformed buses. After the test and intelligent devices' butting, 380 new CNG buses will be worked in Changzhou center area before July 1. From now on, more and more environmentalCfriendly buses will be used by Changzhou Bus Group Corporation, and the exhaust released will finally meet Guo-IV standard within five years.
